Always the best!

The Whitefish boot in tan multi is gorgeous! The embossed leather sections have dark red/rust highlighting, making them even more versatile. The size 38 fits my 9 3/8 inch foot well, with room for thick cotton tights or a medium weight cotton sock. The insole is padded, as is the boot's opening, for ease of striding, with no break-in period. The lug sole has good grip in the rain (although I do not wear most of my L'artiste collection in rainy weather if I can help it!), and the heel height works for me for comfortable driving, longish city walks, and crushed gravel trails. I have worn these boots with dresses, leggings, and cropped pants, and they will look good with Autumn outfits and into the winter season. My only grumble is L'artiste's reliance on round, waxed laces—and I accept that this delays fraying—but all my L'artiste boots with round laces untie themselves as I move around; my solution is to wear them a few times to make sure the laces are the right "tightness," then wrap matching thread in and around the knot to hold the laces closed (and just use the side zip for getting in and out of the boot). These are my ninth pair of L'artiste boots, and I am sure they will not be my last!
