Very comfortable with good support
After wearing out 3-4 pairs of plastic Birkenstock(crack where you bend foot) in OR, decided to try some leather Timberlands few years ago, which were great. They came apart and couldn’t find timberlands. So, tried these: FANTASTIC fit and support ! Well made with a very nice look. Would buy again!
Look elsewhere
I bought this shoe because I wanted something that would not irritate a spur I have on the back of my heel, but that I could wear with business casual attire in the hospital as well as with scrubs in the operating room. It visibly is passable for those environments but it does look and feel a bit cheap. I would have expected better quality materials for a shoe of this price range. Regarding my heel, the lip in the back is low enough that it does not irritate my foot, which is good. However, I have relatively high arches, and this shoe does not provide much arch support. After about a minute of walking around my house, my right mid-foot above my arch started aching. There also is not enough cushioning on the tongue of the shoe, which is where much pressure goes during walking in a slip-on clog. Furthermore, I have narrow feet, so I would have preferred a little more cushioning on the sides and back to hold my foot in place better. Lastly, regarding sizing, I am normally an 8.5 in casual shoes and 9 in athletic shoes. I ordered a size 42, and it certainly fits more like an 8.5 than a 9. In fact, it might be a bit snug in the front. I think a person who wears a 9 or 9.5 would need a 43 otherwise your toes will hit the front. Long story short, I will be returning these and going with another brand.
