Nice boots, BAD SMELL

I don’t understand how these boots are being sold, the chemical odor coming from them is so strong. I even had them outside overnight to air out. Kept them in the laundry room at other end of the house until I could return them and STILL could smell the petroleum type odor. A shame, they fit perfectly and felt comfortable trying on. Would have worked perfectly for my purpose but now I’m so disappointed in Spring Step, always liked their shoes but the potential health issues from that smell can’t be ignored.
